Timeline results now in Google search

One of the experimental search tools from Google Labs has relocated to the main search results page.

The Timeline view now appears in certain queries, offering a clickable bar graph of chronological information on various historical figures, texts, movements, discoveries, and more. Users can narrow results by clicking on specific time periods. The content is a mixture of online archival materials and partner content from Google’s News Archive Program.

This can prove to be a powerful research tool for students and scholars searching for specific information or a comprehensive overview of a given topic.
