New Label Organization in GMail
Gmail users who rely on labels to keep their emails organized will be happy to know that Google has added new features to make them more manageable. Now located above the Chat window, the labels gadget gives users the option to show or hide labels based on their priority. The left navigation won’t have to be cluttered with labels that aren’t used regularly. Users can also drag emails directly into a label for quick and easy archiving.

Contact Improvements
Google launched a new API yesterday that allows Google Apps Premier administrators to maintain and update a global address list. When administrators add contact information to the list, it is automatically available to all users on the domain. Before, Gmail users could only view contacts who they manually added or emailed in the past. Now a contact search will return results from the entire global address list, increasing accessibility and facilitating collaboration.
