Amazon Web Services has launched Amazon VPC in Europe. VPC is a secured bridge between a company’s existing IT infrastructure and the AWS cloud. Customers in Europe can benefit from reduced network delays between Amazon VPC and their existing IT infrastructure.

Customers can connect to a set of isolated AWS resources through a Virtual Private Network (VPN Connection). AWS resources can be leveraged using their existing management capabilities such as security services, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. Amazon VPC currently integrates with Amazon EC2 and will integrate with other AWS services down the line.
