We are pleased to announce the availability of Email Monitoring in Power Panel for Google Apps. We’ve added new screens and functionality that allow Power Panel customers take advantage of the Google Apps Audit API.

LTech Power Panel for Google Apps is a suite of tools and most-often-requested utilities that provide security, simplify management tasks and allow business users to access data more efficiently. Features of Power Panel include role-based security, Shared Contacts Search, user life cycle management and an integration framework for CRM and enterprise data.

Power Panel, in conjunction with the Google Apps Audit API, provides an effective way for organization using Google Apps and Power Panel to monitor incoming and outgoing messages. HR Administrators, Supervisors, or IT Staff now have an effective means of examining the communication of their Google Apps users without knowing their users’ passwords.

Email Monitoring is available for an additional $1 per user/per year for Power Panel customers.

How Email Monitoring Works
Authorized Power Panel users, such as a HR representative, supervisors, or a members of the IT staff, are able to create email monitors on any domain user. When a message is sent to or by the specified user a copy of the message will be email to person specified to monitor messages.

Features of Email Monitoring for Power Panel include:

• Specifying a time-frame to monitor communication through both a start and end date

• Ability to capture the full message, just the header of incoming messages, outgoing messages, email drafts, or chats.

• Audited messages sent to the destination user as an email attachment

• The destination user is defined as a BCC on the message; the information does not appear in either the sender or recipient’s message header.

• Setting up multiple monitors on a user where the destination user or message information is different

Setting up Power Panel for Google Apps couldn’t be simpler. Power Panel integrates directly with your Google Apps domain by installing through the Google Apps Marketplace. The Power Panel base framework and modules are $3 user / year.
